The Experience

This journey is designed to show you several different sides of Kenya in one unforgettable adventure. Begin in the Maasai Mara, where the vast savannah provides a spectacular setting for wildlife encounters. Spend two nights exploring the reserve and searching for lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffalo and other wildlife. Continue through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, where rhinos and other wildlife occupy a very different landscape. From Nakuru, slow the pace at Lake Naivasha. Take to the water by boat, watch hippos and birdlife and enjoy the peaceful scenery of the Rift Valley. The final stage takes you south to Amboseli. Here, huge elephant herds move across open plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, creating one of Kenya's most iconic safari scenes.

The Flow

Day 01Nairobi → Maasai Mara

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel towards the Maasai Mara through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a stop at a Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing towards the Mara. Arrive in the afternoon, check in and have lunch before heading out for your first game drive. Explore the savannah looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and predators. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 02

Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Enjoy a full day exploring the Maasai Mara. After breakfast, head into the reserve for an extended game drive across the open plains. Look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, zebras and wildebeest. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your safari into the afternoon. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening.

Day 03Maasai Mara → Lake Nakuru

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast and departure from the Mara. Travel towards Lake Nakuru through the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, subject to park access and operating conditions. Search for rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife around the lake and surrounding woodland.

Day 04Lake Nakuru → Lake Naivasha

Enjoy breakfast before continuing to Lake Naivasha. The journey takes you through the beautiful Great Rift Valley landscapes. After arrival and lunch, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Watch for hippos in the water and a variety of bird species around the lake. Spend the evening relaxing at your lakeside accommodation.

Day 05Lake Naivasha → Amboseli

Enjoy breakfast before beginning the journey south towards Amboseli. This is a longer transfer day as you travel across Kenya towards the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in Amboseli in the afternoon, check in and relax. If time and park access allow, enjoy an introductory game drive before returning to your accommodation.

Day 06

Full-Day Amboseli Safari

Wake early and head into Amboseli National Park for a full-day safari. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Explore open plains, seasonal wetlands and the Amboseli basin while looking for elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening.

Day 07Amboseli → Nairobi

Start the morning with an early game drive, when wildlife is active and the light is ideal for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast before departing Amboseli. Travel back to Nairobi and arrive in the afternoon.
